The Bride ad Groom figural candle, also known as the Marriage Candle comes was one of the earliest of the figural candles to achieve widespread popularity in hoodoo practice, and first because extensively available through distribution among conjure and candle shops during the late 1930s and early 1940s.

White - for attracting a new or unknown lover or sanctifying a marriage.

Pink - for encouraging the beginnings of roamntic love, or for reconcilaition after a quarrel.

Red - to arouse passion in one's love, to restore nature.

Blue - for peacefulness, fidelity, and a happy home.

Black - to wreak sexual vengeance on both parties of a married couple, or draw in protection.
