Florida Water is an American version of Eau de Cologne, or Cologne Water. The name refers to the fabled Fountain of Youth, which was said to be located in Florida, as well as the "flowery" nature of the scent. It is used for rituals and purification.
Most, if not all, Florida Water on the market today contains dyes. For those of you who pour Florida Water in your bath water you will see the blue coloring. SoulTopia Florida Water does NOT contain dyes.
Further, SoulTopia does NOT use denatured alcohol in its Florida Water! But most all others add denatured alcohol as a preservative. The problem with this is that denatured alcohol is poisonous, flammable, causes flash fires, and ignites explosively and can cause blindness. Denatured alcohol contains methanol and ethanol. In short, denatured alcohol is dangerous and a known carcinogen. It should be labeled as such on products containing it.
This is particularly dangerous if you put it on or near candles, which many do when using Florida Water.
